As of February 1, 2022, the trainees will receive 60 euros more money per month and training year.
IG Metall agreed on the collective bargaining agreement in negotiations with the employers. The collective wage and salary agreement runs until March 31, 2023. A declaration period, in which the committees of IG Metall and employers discuss the outcome of the negotiations, applies until August 6, 2021.
“With the conclusion, employees in the automotive trade receive a permanent pay increase and a corona bonus. That is an important sign. This keeps the industry attractive for employees,” said Friedhelm Ahrens, collective bargaining secretary of IG Metall Coast, who is responsible for the negotiations has led. “The result was made possible by the colleagues in the car dealerships and workshops. They put the necessary pressure on the negotiations with warning strikes and actions.”
