IFTTT (If This Then That) is an online platform with which you can easily connect different services. The service is popular primarily for its capabilities to smart home applications to connect with each other. You connect different apps or devices with each other via an applet.
IFTTT Pro
Founder and CEO Linden Tibbets now wants to facilitate the development of applets that go beyond the ‘if this then that’ principle. For that they launched IFTTT Pro, a paying subscription. With the advent of the subscription, a lot of much-requested features would be introduced. You pay 10 dollars a month for that.
Multiple assignments
The new IFTTT Pro has more powerful tools for making connections. For example, an applet will now be able to issue commands to different apps and perform multiple tasks simultaneously. At the same time, its implementation will go a lot faster.
Focus on individual users
With the introduction of the subscription, Tibbets wants to focus again on its normal users. The focus of the platform had shifted towards businesses with the recent introduction of IFTTT Connect. Features developed for this platform will now also be available in the pro plan.

Until October 7 you can decide how much you would like to give for the service. This gives IFTTT a view on how many users would actually want to pay for the pro subscription. Users are given the option between 4, 6 or 10 dollars per month or can specify a different amount themselves. The threshold is set at $ 2 per month. With the revenue that IFTTT gets from the subscription, it wants to focus more on developing new features for pro subscribers.
Free use of IFTTT remains possible. Those who opt for the free-forever plan can still develop up to 3 applets. The use of existing applets, of which about 50 million would be on the platform, also remains free.
