IFSI – They are the new health professionals graduated from the University of Burgundy

Becoming a nurse is a choice and also a vocation. Every year at the IFSI (Nursing Training Institute), after three years of study, nursing students pass the exam. Last June there were 57 of which 4 were boys. Today everyone works. They are in great demand.

They are therefore the new health professionals who have obtained the state diploma in nursing, which since 2009 is considered equivalent to the university license. We tended to forget it a little too much.

This license issued by the University of Burgundy was presented to them in the presence of Edwige Gandré, director of care at the Jean Bouveri hospital center and new director of the ISFI following the retirement of Marie-Jeannine Paraggio.

“You started your studies in September 2019 and you had to face a historic crisis (Editor’s note: covid)” recalls Edwige Gandré, aware of the difficulties of the moment and how precious these students were to the hospital during the crisis.

The Nursing Training Institute has entered a process of change with the arrival of Edwige Gandré and in the near future, namely the beginning of the 2024 school year, the integration into a new location worthy of the name at the ‘high Haigneré school of Blanzy.

Also change for Martine Soubirant, head of health training, retired from Friday.
