The Ifm Razorbacks have signed a new player. Tyren Quinn, a former NFL contender, joins the Razorbacks’ defense and will use his experience and expertise to help the team become even more successful.
Born and raised in Middletown, Ohio, Tyren Quinn began his football career in high school. There he attracted attention as a sprinter when he ran the 100 meters in just 10.5 seconds. He later played at the University of Kentucky and rose to prominence as a defensive back on the college football scene.
His varsity achievements caught the attention of NFL scouts, and Quinn received an invitation to the 2016 Cincinnati Bengals rookie camp. Although he didn’t make the Bengals team, he decided to continue his career in Europe. Quinn played in various European countries including Italy, Australia and Ukraine before finally playing for the German record champions, the New Yorker Lions from Braunschweig in 2020. After the 2020 season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he decided to take a break from his football career. But now he has decided to come back and play for the Ifm Razorbacks.
“Tyren is an incredibly talented and experienced player”, says Sascha Brändle, head coach of the Ifm Razorbacks. “He showed what he was made of at the University of Kentucky and his experience in the NFL and European football will certainly help our team to be even more successful.”
Quinn will primarily be used as a defensive back, but he can also play as a kick returner or wide receiver when the need arises. His speed and explosiveness make him a valuable player on the field.
