GOTHENBURG/STOCKHOLM. Here is the striker who looks to be IFK Göteborg’s next signing.
According to Sportbladet’s information, Blåvitt is finalizing negotiations regarding Groningen’s Paulos Abraham, 21.
Sportbladet has previously been able to tell that IFK Gothenburg is looking for a young centre-back and an offensive reinforcement after the signing of David Moberg-Karlsson failed.
According to Sportbladet’s information, Blåvitt is now finalizing negotiations regarding former AIK and BP player Paulos Abraham, who is now in Groningen in the Dutch second division.
There, the 21-year-old has played six league games and accounted for one goal and one assist in the second division this season.
Abraham was sold to Groningen from AIK in February 2021.

IFK Göteborg hopes to present players shortly and there has been discussion of both a loan and a purchase, with a loan probably being the closest thing to hand.
Has a contract until 2026
IFK Gothenburg’s technical director Ola Larsson knows Abraham well since his time in BP and Fotbolldirekt has previously reported that several Allsvenskan clubs were looking for the player and that the 21-year-old can break with the Universal agency to get a move.
IFK Göteborg is in great need of attacking reinforcements since new acquisition Laurs Skjellerup suffered a muscle injury and will be out for six weeks. In addition, striker Linus Carlstrand has a wrist fracture and is out of action until March. Right now, Gustaf Norlin is the only available striker in the squad.
Paulos Abraham has a contract with Groningen until the end of June 2026.
IFK Göteborg can present the player within the next week if the final details fall into place in negotiations and the likely upcoming medical examination.
