Chief Justice Wahyu Imam Santoso doubted the testimony Fort Ma’ruf in the trial following the premeditated murder case of Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J.
The judge assessed that if Strong had provided correct information, there would not have been dozens of police members who would have been ethically tried in connection with the case.
Strong admitted he was never questioned by detectives at Ferdy Sambo’s official residence at the Duren Tiga police compound in South Jakarta. Strong was in fact taken to Provos Polri for questioning. However, he didn’t know the figure that led him at the time.
“Who is the Rector should I call?” the judge asked.
“It’s good to be called Your Highness,” Kuat said.
“What’s his name?” the judge asked again.
“I don’t know,” Strong said.
The judge then reprimanded Strong. If only at that moment Strong had been honest about the incident of Brigadier J’s shooting, then there would have been no ethics trial that as many as 95 members of the police would have had to go through.
“If you made statements like that in the beginning, the story wouldn’t be like that, you understand? There won’t be 95 cops going to trial on ethics if you talk like that,” the judge said.
Strong admitted that he was tense and confused when questioned by members of Provos Polri. However, Strong said he did not give false information to investigators.
“Sorry Your Honor, I was tense. I was questioned by the Provos, at the time I was confused as to what to say, then what I was asked to say there. But nobody has lied like that yet,” Strong said.
“I was asked to look at my KTP first I was told to write, I said I could not write I was shaking, try to tell me. I asked what incident happened to Magelang or Duren Tiga? Oh if so in Magelang first. I told them Magelang, only half of Mr. FS came,” she continued.
Seated as defendants were Bharada E and Bripka RR, charged with committing the crime of premeditated murder against Brigadier J. Strong also has defendant status.
The crime was committed together with Ferdy Sambo and Putri Candrawathi.
They were accused of violating the subsidiary article 340 of article 338 in conjunction with article 55 paragraph 1 1 of the penal code.
The murder of Brigadier J took place on Friday 8 July 2022 at Sambo Official Residence Number 46 at Police Compound, Duren Tiga, South Jakarta. In the indictment, Bharada E and Sambo are said to have shot Brigadier J.
The background of the murder is suspected because Putri was harassed by Brigadier J while in Magelang on Thursday 7 July 2022. This allegation was denied by Brigadier J’s family.
