If you need to vaccinate your child, take him to Pavas; there is time until 6:30 pm this friday

The Pavas Health area, managed by Coopesalud, is holding an extraordinary anticovid day this Friday, March 11, with extended hours until 6:30 pm, to vaccinate children between the ages of 5 and 11 years, 11 months 29 days. Minors will be given the dose of the pharmaceutical company Pfizer.

People over 12 years of age will also be vaccinated with first, second and third doses. This day will be held until the doses available for the day are exhausted, so it is recommended that those interested go to the Pavas Clinic as soon as possible, where the vaccination post is installed.

The extension of the schedule until 6:30 pm aims to facilitate the vaccine to workers who must comply with their workday, and to children and adolescents who must attend classes, reported Monserrat Navarro, from the Health Area.

Minors who are going to be vaccinated must be accompanied by an adult and present their vaccination card or identity document. Adults must also bring their identity document and the anticovid vaccination card.

If you lost your vaccination card, you can still go for the dose you need, as the CCSS has said and recently recalled Room IV in a sentence in favor of an older adult.

In these cases, the health center is able and obliged to confirm the status of its vaccination schedule by simply entering the Unique Digital Health File (EDUS), where a record of the vaccines is kept.

As reported by the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS), until March 7, four out of ten children between the ages of 5 and 11 had at least one dose against covid-19.

The figure corresponds to 39.2% of the population in that age range. Additionally, 206,187 minors started their scheme; of them, 91,674 have already completed it, for 17.4%.

There are still 319,304 children in those ages pending to start receiving the dose. This goal will be possible to the extent that more pediatric vaccines arrive in the country. Reinforcements are not applied in this age group.

Children between the ages of 5 and 11 receive the Pfizer pediatric vaccine, the only one that has emergency use authorization for people of that age. This product uses a third of that used in adults and adolescents.
