At Sotheby’s auction house, a first-generation iPhone 4GB device, an iPhone Bluetooth Headset and a 160GB, sixth-generation iPod Classic are being auctioned. According to estimates, the value of the entire package can be 40-60 thousand dollars, which corresponds to about 14-21 million forints. Such devices can even be hidden in the accounts of Hungarian owners.
The first generation iPhone was introduced by Steve Jobs back in 2007, and the “reinvention” of the phone brought about a technological revolution that not only changed mobile technology forever, but the entire world.
This particular iPhone 4GB model is particularly rare as it was only produced for a short time. Therefore, specimens in this condition, in unopened packaging, can be even more valuable to collectors – writes a Promotions.hu.
The two other products in the auction, the iPhone Bluetooth Headset and the iPod Classic 160 GB, were also released in the same year and also played a large role in the foundation of Apple’s success. The entire package therefore not only offers special collector’s items, but also evokes a defining period of the company’s history.
