If we test quickly, the disease will not spread from the outbreaks, the epidemiologist believes. Veils are back in the Kutná Hora region – ČT24 – Czech Television

Mayor Karviná Wolf believes that the situation in the region will only stop being discussed and steps will be taken to help the outbreak. “I am convinced that there are experts in the Czech Republic who should know the issue and should know what is best for the region,” the mayor said.

According to him, he does not want to speculate on who is responsible for the spread of covid-19 in the Karviná region. The problem is said to be complex and the capacities of regional hygienists have been fully utilized. “Only time will tell whether the measures will or will not be effective. But let’s do them, not just talk about them, ”Wolf appeals.

The situation in the Karviná region on Thursday at an extraordinary meeting also paid by Members.

Rážová is convinced that the situation in the Moravian-Silesian Region is under control. According to her, hygienists continue massive testing and quickly find out the contacts of those infected. “Most patients are asymptomatic or have a very mild course of the disease. Most of the contacts are family contacts of miners, so the vast majority of the positive ones are still in connection with ČSM North or South, “he explains why he refuses to talk about community spread.

The speed of the tests is crucial, emphasizes the epidemiologist

Karviná remains the largest local focus of coronavirus in the Czech Republic. In the past week, the district registers 159 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. In the region, OKD mine workers and their family members became particularly ill. According to Vojtěch, the situation in the Karviná region is calming down, but the mayors there call it very serious.

According to the epidemiologist Beran, it is not necessary for the affected areas to be closed by hygienists as in the past, for example, Litovel. It is essential to test quickly and analyze samples within 24 hours. “The most important thing that needs to be done now is to strengthen the supply teams. If they are strengthened and samples are taken and examined within 24 hours, then it is very good, “says the epidemiologist.

If the regional hygienists in the affected areas do not manage to analyze the samples, it is necessary to help them centrally, believes Beran. “Last week, there were indications that the institutes of the Academy of Sciences would be involved again, so that the result would be available within 24 hours. It must be assisted by the State to ensure that the samples are transported to the examination center and the result is reported within 24 hours. If it is not announced, it is wrong and the risk of an epidemic continues to rise, “he emphasizes.

According to Beran, if hygienists manage to look for contacts and isolate them, it can be assumed that the local epidemic will not spread to a larger area. “It can be kept in a given district,” the epidemiologist is convinced.

He also calls on the Ministry of Health to emphasize information about hospitalized patients, not just those infected, because the daily increments themselves do not explain how burdened the health care system is. According to Beran, the resort should also summarize the situation every week and set goals for the next period.
