All responsible institutions in the country should be gathered, including representatives of the CEC, and it should be written what will be done when this situation arises on April 2
In the last 2 days we have allowed chaos in response to bomb threats. Some schools complied with the instructions, but other principals took the risk of continuing classes. This was stated by the election expert Prof. Mihail Konstantinov to Nova TV.
“All the responsible institutions in the country should be gathered, including representatives of the CEC, and it should be written what will be done when this situation arises on April 2. It is necessary to act in a unified way and order the presidents of sections and the leaders of all committees what to do in case of a bomb threat. It should be clear who is responsible.
The chance that the threat is real is very small, but if there is a bomb and it explodes, the effect will be devastating. Let a short protocol be adopted by Saturday at the latest on what the SIC, RIC and CEC are doing, because a bomb alert can be received there as well,” urged the mathematician.
He recalled the great attack against the Conservative Party in Great Britain 30 years ago. “The bomb was planted 6 months before. A radio bomb was detonated, people died.”
“We need to release the heads of committees from the responsibility of making those decisions, tell them what decision to make from now on and let someone else take responsibility,” he said.
When asked whether even fewer people will go to the polls in this vote, Prof. Konstantinov stated that the people are clearly turning away from political life
“I am an optimist. I estimate that bringing back the paper ballot will bring about 200-300,000 people back to the polls compared to the last 3 elections.”
As for who has the opportunity to make a real cabinet, the election expert said that there are 2 major structures that have roughly equal results. “I think that the coalition around GERB-SDS has a better chance because they left more doors open. From others we hear: Either we are first or nothing.
Things are very bad both internally and in what is happening around us. We have no right to play with the fate of Bulgaria anymore,” he said.
