Stanislav Balabanov from ITN was a guest on the show Face to Face on BTV. He answered several questions, focusing mainly on ITN’s candidacy for BNB chief.
The election of a BNB governor is not something that is enshrined in the coalition agreement. We followed the path proposed by Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev, namely for the governor of the BNB to win the best candidacy. All speculation that there was a preliminary agreement for a joint candidacy is not true. This was commented by the MP from “There is such a people” (ITN) Stanislav Balabanov.

Regarding Northern Macedonia’s EU membership talks, he warned that a “huge problem in the coalition” could soon arise, which would already lead to real tensions.

Balabanov’s remarks are about rumors that Kiril Petkov has assured European partners in Brussels that Bulgaria will lift its veto to start negotiations with Northern Macedonia for membership in the Community.
