Democratic Party President Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) talks about the possibility of a duet with the governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan in the presidential election of 2024. He said good prayer would be accepted by him.
“If there is good prayer, good hope, I agree,” AHY told Taman Ismail Marzuki, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (8/10/2022).
AHY admits to having a special closeness with Anies. Furthermore, AHY also admitted to having the same vision and ideals with Anies.

“I certainly just want to convey that I and the Democrats personally not only have a close relationship with the figure of Mas Anies Baswedan, but here and there we also have the same vision, mission and even ideals,” AHY explained.
“We often meet, discuss and also discuss various issues besides national issues, people’s problems,” he added.
AHY talked about plans for a democratic coalition with NasDem and PKS. He said that his party was still communicating intensely with NasDem and PKS.
“What is clear at the moment is that the Democratic Party continues to communicate intensely with the NasDem and also with the PKS because we are talking about political realities, we cannot speak only of our desires or hopes, or of cadres or constituents or of community, “AHY said.
Anies then highlighted the reality of political parties that must reach the presidential threshold (PT) or the presidential nomination threshold of 20 percent of the seats in the DPR. PT 20 percent, AHY said, must be pursued together.
“The reality of Indonesian politics today is to reach the presidential threshold of 20 percent and of course we must continue to work on this together,” he said.
Previously, Anies had visited the DPP office of the Democratic Party. He was welcomed by AHY and his wife, Annisa Pohan. A number of Democratic elites also welcomed Anies.
