Restrictions on movement
– It is easier for Czechs to go to work, shopping, to the doctor and for the necessary visits of loved ones who need help. Nature walks are allowed. Outside, people can move in a maximum of two people, unless it is a family.
Restrictions on trade and services
– Only shops with the necessary goods are open, ie groceries, drugstores, pharmacies, gardening stores, feed, newspapers, fuels and more. A list of exceptions is available on the website government.
Limited office hours
– Offices can be open only two days a week for five hours.
Closed schools
– Schools in the Czech Republic switched to distance learning. According to the government, primary school pupils should return to school on 2 November. However, government officials have already admitted that it will depend on the development of the situation. Only kindergartens and special schools remain open.
Closed hospitals, social services and prisons
– Visits are prohibited in hospitals, retirement homes, prisons and other social housing services.
Wearing respiratory protection
– From Thursday in the Czech Republic, the obligation to cover the airways in public transport, indoors, at stops and platforms of public transport and also outdoors in public places applies, if it is not possible to ensure a distance of at least two meters from other people or in the car, if passengers are not members one family. Exceptions are people who play sports, and others who put in government action.
