In today’s heat of more than 30 degrees, many people sought cooling refreshment on Dunakeszi’s hundreds of meters of open Danube beach, lying in the pleasant Danube water, under the shady trees, on the well-kept grass. In addition to the citizens of the city, the well-equipped, beautifully built open beach on the Danube is also very popular among the residents of the neighboring settlements – Göd, Fót and the capital.
All ages can relax on the open beach between the EuroVelo 6 international bicycle path and the Danube, everything is provided for a calm, cultured relaxation. Children are welcomed by a playground, a learning trail with useful information, there are changing rooms, showers, and buffets offering delicacies await beachgoers, walkers, and guests arriving on bicycles.
In order to promote a calm and undisturbed rest, a separate buffet in the southern part of the beach welcomes beachgoers with dogs.
The municipality has also thought of those who want to do sports, who can rent a boat, SUP, which is very popular these days, but those who “just” want to comfortably enjoy the sun, or the cooling shade, can also borrow a sunbed.
Sun worshipers enjoyed nature’s gift on the waterfront or on popular piers, there were quite a few who swam in the area marked with a buoy or splashed in the shallower water with their children…
