He revealed that it is extremely politically difficult to explain to the voter that it is good to raise the tax on Bulgarians, who make up the middle class in our country. However, according to Gechev, if this happens, more money will go into the kindergartens and schools, where everyone’s children will be fine. For his part, the MP from the Reform Bloc, Martin Dimitrov, stated that he does not agree and does not approve of the proposal of the leftists. “With the small tax, more money comes into the treasury,” announced the reformer and explained that when people have to pay less, they hide less.
However, Gechev immediately refuted Dimitrov. He explained that 2008 and 2013 cannot be compared. The proposal of the BSP scolded the guests in the studio of “Hello, Bulgaria”. “Tell me, young lad, how much are the taxes at the moment?” the left-wing MP asked the reformer. In response to the socialist’s attacks, Martin Dimitrov reminded that the BSP bankrupted Bulgaria, and Gechev replied that it was not done by the left, but by Ivan Kostov.
