This teenager selling cilok in the Yasa Lestari Housing, Bojonggede District, Bogor Regency, has become a new idol in the social media world because of his face that looks like Al Ghazali, the son of musicians Ahmad Dhani and Maia Estianty.

The viral video about Fariz on social media shocked his father, Darwin Abdullah (45).

“We found out from the neighbors.”

“Early in the morning, he said, ‘Sir, his son is viral on Tiktok’,” Darwin said, Wednesday (4/11/2021), citing Warta Kota.

His neighbor then sent Darwin the viral social media link.

“As soon as I opened it, it was really my child,” he said.

Darwin did not know who made the viral video.

But he guessed, there was one of his clients who made and viralized the video.

“We were also surprised, confused. But, just follow it,” he said.

According to him, the video has only gone viral since Tuesday. But about the resemblance of his son to Al Ghazali, this has been said by people long ago.

“Indeed, since kindergarten age, Fariz has been similar to an artist. This was revealed from neighbors and relatives.”

“In fact, the brothers in the village call him Al,” said the man from Pagaralam, South Sumatra.

Darwin added that during kindergarten-junior high school, Fariz did look like Al Ghazali. But when it comes to long hair, many consider it more like El Rumi, the second child of Ahmad Dhani and Maia Estianty.

“There is a photo when he was in elementary school, very similar to Al. If you have long hair like this, it looks more like El,” he said.

Darwin explained that the cilok trading business was actually run by him and his wife, Isur (44).

They have started a small business under the name Mr. This Dee since 2014.

“The one who trades is actually my wife and I. Incidentally, yesterday he (Fariz) failed the SMPTN test at ITB. So, this year he is on leave.”

“Now on the sidelines of preparing for college next year, he helps us sell,” he said.

According to him, Fariz’s son is a bit shy. However, he studied hard and didn’t really like hanging out like other teenagers.

“Since failing the SMPTN test, he has been more diligent in studying. Wake up at 03.30 WIB, he studies. After that pray, then continue studying again.”

“In the afternoon, he helps us sell. At night, we study again until 10.00 WIB,” said Darwin.

The man who is 15 years old as a pastry trader in front of Bojonggede Station admits that he has not yet felt the effects of the increase in his cilok sales after Fariz’s video went viral.

“I haven’t seen an increase yet. It went viral just yesterday. Today is a bit crowded,” said Darwin, who was trying to stay wise in responding to his son’s viral video.
