PDI-P general chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri admits that he is worried about the condition Indonesia which is considered too good to be in the comfort zone.

He asked Indonesia not to be carried away by the currents of the world, especially the west. According to Megawati, Eastern nations are superior in terms of art and culture.

“It’s time for us to follow it to the west first, in terms of artistic culture, the name East is extraordinary,” said Megawati when she was a keynote speaker at the online National Seminar of the Rector’s Forum for Strengthening National Character (FRPKB), Wednesday (1/6).

The chairman of the Steering Committee of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) then touched on big countries. Megawati said that the majority of the people who live in the country are not their own people.

“The so-called Americans are Native Americans, aren’t they. They are people from England who were thrown there as criminals,” he said.

“So what’s Australia? What’s Aboriginal. New Zealand? What do you want us to do? If I— not let the parents,” he added.

Furthermore, Megawati revealed that she had conveyed her concern about the condition of the country to the Secretary General of PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto.

“I chatted with my Secretary General, here it is, how come my people are already too comfortable with their comfort zone, you know, I’m already worried. not there, continue piye yo, how yo?” he said.
