Upon its release, So far, so good rose to first place in the Netflix Top 10 in France, and to seventh place in the world top most-watched series on the streaming platform that week. This great success, accompanied however by some criticism upon its release in April 2023, did not prevent Nawell Madani from feeling regrets about this project which she carried entirely on her shoulders at the time she made her dream: finally become a mother thanks to a final PMA carried out at the risk of her life, as she recounted in A Sunday in the countryside on France 2 this October 13, 2024.

“Human beings are paradoxical… I fought for seventeen years to have my daughter. When I got pregnant, I was writing my series, and I had a dilemma: either I spend the first few months with my daughter, or I go back to work. And (…) I say it sincerely, I wouldn’t do it again. If I had to do it again, I wouldn’t have done it: ten days after my delivery, I went back to work. I do it because I tell myself that we have to be able to continue living“, explained Navel Madani to Frédéric Lopez.
