Johan Dahlin got a slap on the shin last week and had to be replaced at half time in the last match against Kalmar FF. The 35-year-old has trained during the last few sessions and is hoping to play against Halmstads BK tomorrow, when MFF can secure the Swedish Championship gold.
– It felt good. If I am selected, I intend to play, says Johan Dahlin.
Have you been worried during the week about missing the match?
– It is clear that it has been hard, it has been a battle against the clock. These are the matches you want to play. Have not been worried but of course it has been frustrating that it has not let go. But it feels okay.
Team captain Anders Christiansen has missed the last three matches due to a thigh injury. Jon Dahl Tomasson does not want to say whether the midfielder can start against HBK.
– Dahlin and “AC” have come back well and trained. They are ready to help the team tomorrow. We only have the long-term injured who are not involved tomorrow: Ola (Toivonen), Jonas (Knudsen) and Felix (Beijmo), says the MFF coach.
Everyone in the MFF squad was out in some form of training for the first time in a very long time. Knudsen, who has been rehab training since July, also injured his knee.
