‘If Ali Akbar’s movie is blocked, Ashiq Abu’s movie theater will not be seen’; Sandeep Warrier

19BJP leader Sandeep Warrier has said that he will not see Aashiq Abu’s movie theater if the film directed by Ali Akbar is banned in the wake of the 21st Malabar riots. Sandeep was speaking at the pooja for the film ‘1921 River to River’ directed by Ali Akbar. The function was held at Nalanda Auditorium, Kozhikode.

Aashiq Abu and his team have announced that they will be making a film in Wariamkunnath glorifying Kunhahammad Haji. Sandeep said that the announcement of the film by Ali Akbar challenged this and inspired thousands of young people in Kerala to investigate the true history.

Swami Chidananthapuri inaugurated the pooja of the film. Ali Akbar had earlier said that Malayalam actors will play the lead roles in his film. He said that an advance has been given to those who have decided to go for the film and the first schedule will start on February 20. The director said that the shooting of the film will be completed in three schedules and the location of the first schedule is Wayanad.

Ali Akbar also announced his film after Aashiq Abu announced Prithviraj in the lead role in the 1921 film about the life of Wariamkunnath Kunhahammed Haji in the context of Malabar. Directors PT Kunjumuhammed and Ibrahim Vengara had also announced films about the life of Wariamkunnath Kunhahammed Haji. Directed by PT Kunjumuhammed, the film is titled Shaheed Wariamkunnan and Ibrahim Vengara is titled The Great Wariamkunnan.
