The General Council of the State Electoral and Citizen Participation Institute of Oaxaca (IEEPCO) approved the methodology to carry out general monitoring of radio, television and internet, with coverage in the state of Oaxaca, for the Ordinary Electoral Process 2023-2024.
The monitoring of news spaces is carried out during the period of pre-campaigns and campaigns in accordance with what is established in electoral regulations; It is carried out with the objective of generating equity in the contest.
Monitoring radio, television and the Internet also has the purpose of knowing the treatment that the media gives to information regarding the candidacies, and thus guaranteeing citizens’ right to information.
