JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – The Rp1,000 coin with the image of palm oil again made a scene in the virtual world. The two-colored notes are sold in the marketplace for hundreds of millions of rupiah.
The upload shows at least 13 coins available for purchase at a price of almost Rp. 300 million.
Please note, the money is in a used condition from various regions in Indonesia.

Palm Oil Coins Still Valid
Director of the Communications Department of Bank Indonesia Junanto Herdaiwan said the Rp1,000 coin with the image of a palm oil was still valid today.
So the value of the money is in accordance with what is stated in the money.
“The Rp1,000 denomination issued in 1993 with a picture of palm oil is still valid as a legal tender in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia as long as it has not been revoked/withdrawn from circulation,” he said, Friday (13/08/2021).
BI does not buy and sell
Bank Indonesia itself did not conduct the sale and purchase of the money.
