Idol group Hinatazaka46 member Akari Nibu (22) appeared on the cover and gravure of the 33rd issue of “Weekly Shonen Magazine” (Kodansha) released on the 19th. The innocent smile girl adorned the cover of ”Magazine” for the first time alone.
Nibu, who served as the center for the first time in the 9th single “One choice,” has been expanding her activities in recent years, including appearing on variety shows that utilize her gaming skills and voicing an anime for which she served as the original concept. Her first photo book “Yasashii Kankei,” released in July last year, also recorded a hit.
The latest gravure captures Nibu’s daily life spent with her love for games as the theme. She showcases herself enjoying games, relaxing on tatami mats wearing a T-shirt and shorts, and taking a leisurely walk.
In addition, a handwritten letter from Nibu to Hinano Kamimura, who was appointed as the center for the latest single “Am I ready?,” is also featured. Kamimura will appear on the cover of the next issue, and Nibu’s response will be published.
The color manga featured in the same issue is the boxing manga “Hajime no Ippo” (George Morikawa), which has exceeded a cumulative circulation of 100 million copies.
