If MasterChef has something, it is that it is attractive to a multitude of people, from diverse places, with very different professions. But all with one element in common: cooking and their desire to dedicate themselves to the world of gastronomy. During the 50×15 of the twelfth season, we have seen very different profiles. But the big surprise came from Idoia. After admitting that she was looking for something new in her life after doing a few things as a stylist, Samantha asked her about what figures she had dressed. “Only my sister. I am the sister of Amaia Montero“.
The judges, surprised, realized Idoia’s resemblance to her sister and Pepe Rodríguez could not hide his fascination with Amaia: “She is great”. But the fun moment turned into a difficult assessment. Samantha took the initiative to ensure that “it shows that you have a hand and that you enjoy it. I’m going to give you a yes.” The guest chef, Marcos Morán was the next to intervene to also give him a yes, assuring that “it shows that it is a dish that you have made many times.”
The decision, in the hands of Pepe and Jordi
With two positive votes, Idoia was only one yes away from putting on the white apron. With a half smile he heard Jordi say no: “I would like to say yes, but I won’t be able to. You have opened many paths and none of them have convinced you. I don’t see that you want to be a cook,” admitted the Catalan chef. . Quickly, the candidate clarified that she does want to be a cook. Now everything was in Pepe’s hands. “Please, Pepe,” Idoia begged.
The El Bohío chef began his assessment: “MasterChef changes your life. We always say it. But I think you still need a little more maturation. Will you come back?” Far from collapsing, and despite having had it so close, Idoia gave us a lesson in optimism. “I would have liked to enter. But failure is doing nothing, that’s why I’m happy.”
It is not the first time that the sister of a celebrity has opted to enter MasterChef. In fact, in the 11th edition, Marta Alguersuari, sister of the former Formula 1 driver, did get the favorable votes and put on the white apron to enjoy the program’s kitchens as a full-fledged candidate.
