A number of figures highlight and mourn the death doctor Sunardi in Sukoharjo who died after being shot Densus 88/Anti-terror on Wednesday (9/3).
The head of the Covid-19 Task Force for the Indonesian Doctors Association (PB IDI) Zubairi Djoerban, for example, said that Sunardi’s death was a very dark day. According to Zubairi, the incident hurt the hearts of many people.
“Inalilahi wainalilahi rojiun. My condolences to the family of the late doctor Sunardi. This is a very dark day and hurts all those who believe and hope in justice,” Zubairi said in a tweet on Twitter, Friday (11/3).
Meanwhile, Gerindra Party politician Fadli Zon highlighted and criticized the actions that resulted in the doctor’s death.
Fadli Zon said a just and civilized humanity is a must. However, he said, what was practiced was just the opposite.
“It should be ‘just and civilized humanity’, but the practice is ‘unjust savagery without humanity’. May the late Dr Sunardi get the best place in the sight of Allah SWT. Amen,” said Fadli retweeting Zubairi’s post.
Previously, Densus 88/Anti-terror raided Sunardi in Sukoharjo, Central Java. The police admitted that they had to shoot Sunardi because he was deemed to have done something that endangered the community.
According to the police, Sunardi is a senior member of the Hilal Ahmar Society Indonesia (HASI) and Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) groups.
