“There is a potential for an increase in dengue cases during the rainy season. Because during the rainy season there is an increase in breeding sites for Aedes Aegypti mosquitoes so that transmission is also higher,” he said.

Dr. Cowboy, as he is known, also asked the community to be proactive in reducing mosquito breeding sites with 3M steps, namely draining, closing and burying.
“If you go out of the house there can be a storm, don’t forget to bring preparations. Umbrellas, coats, so it’s not only preparation from the inside but also from the outside as well,” he explained.
In addition, other steps that can be taken are using mosquito repellent lotions so that using mosquito nets is very important.
“You can use sprays, wires. Then there are also natural, mosquito repellent plants too. You can use lavender, tapak dara, quite reducing mosquitoes,” he explained.
Furthermore, leptospirosis or a bacterial disease that is spread through the urine of infected animals is also a disease that often occurs during the rainy season.
