The Suriname Police Force has just officially confirmed that the bodies found last week were found in a burned-out pick-up on the Noordpolderdam, of the three men are Rohitash Sital (39), Shawn Stolk* (24) and Cedric Tertullien (27).
The corpses have already been positively recognized and the next of kin have been officially notified. It has been established that the three men were murdered by means of a crime. One of the bodies was believed to have gunshot wounds.
The dead bodies were handed over to the next of kin after consultation with the Surinamese Public Prosecution Service. Little else is known about the case. The Capital Offenses Department is charged with investigating this case reports the police.
* Shawn Stolk was formerly called Shawn Kasanpawiro but has officially changed his last name to Stolk. That is why he is referred to as Shawn Stolk in official reporting. This causes confusion as another Shawn Dillon Stolk exists.
