IDC recently released the latest quarterly tracking report on China’s wireless headset market. The data shows that open-back headphones will grow significantly in Q2 of 2023. Compared with the same period a year ago, sales in this field increased by 283%, and sales increased by 389% the following year. Among all brands, Shokz, which launched its debut “in-ear” headphones in April, ranked first, with their OpenFit product gaining a 9% market share. Cleer, which started working in this market earlier, gained 8% share with ARC II, followed by Lancaster, aigo and Sony.
In addition, in the bone conduction headphone market with similar positioning, the veteran Shokz still has a dominant position. Their sales accounted for 36% in the first half of 2023, far exceeding other competitors. However, it should be pointed out that Xiaomi, which ranks second, has accumulated a 15% share. In the future, if we can better combine the company’s overall advantages in brand, price, ecology, and channels, the potential should be worth looking forward to.
