The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) approved this Wednesday a credit line “of up to 800 million dollars” for Argentina and Uruguay with the purpose of “supporting the implementation of the Strategic Investment Plan to modernize the Salto Grande Binational Hydroelectric Complex (CHSG) )”, reported the international organization through a statement published in its website.

“The objective is to contribute to the decarbonization of the interconnected electricity system and regional sustainable development, which will be essential for both countries to advance in their climate commitments,” the IDB detailed in the text.
