ID FOOD President Director Frans M. Tambunan said this effort was carried out in stages from a number of livestock centers to Jabodetabek.
“This is also a follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Subsidiaries ID FOODPT Berdikari with APDI and the Indonesian Meat Slaughterers and Traders Network (JAPPDI), regarding cooperation in the distribution of livestock, as well as beef and buffalo, which will be held on March 8, 2022,” Frans said in a written statement on Thursday, March 24, 2022. .
Distribution is made to the Merchant Association Beef (APDI) with a commercial mechanism (B2B). Distribution to beef traders in order to maintain the sustainability of the business ecosystem and traders who are Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
According to Frans, the mobilization and fulfillment of live cattle needs is carried out in collaboration with a number of stakeholders, such as the National Food Agency (BPN), the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of SOEs, the Regional Livestock Service Office of East Java, Central Java, NTB, the Ministry of Trade, the Indonesian Meat Traders Association. (APDI), the Indonesian Meat Cutting and Trader Network (JAPPDI), Pasar Jaya, DKI Provincial Government, and Dharma Jaya BUMD.
ID FOOD also hopes that this mobilization will contribute to the stability of selling meat prices at the consumer level. Then so that the needs and stocks can be balanced, so as to maintain food stability ahead of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.
“For its readiness, we continue to coordinate with the Beef Traders Association under the coordination of the National Food Agency by prioritizing the implementation principle good corporate governance,” said Frances.
Head of BPN Arief Prasetyo Adi said the mobilization of supply of live cattle ready for slaughter is around five thousand heads until Eid 2022.
“Today (Thursday, March 24, 2022) through the SOE ID FOOD Group, namely PT Berdikari and BGR Logistik Indonesia, the mobilization of cattle from Nganjuk breeders, East Java has begun as many as 40 live cows to the cattle pen owned by PT PG Rajawali II Unit Jati Tujuh, Majalengka, West Java,” said Arief.
He explained that the mobilization of cattle was carried out in stages from several regional breeders. Then next week, it is scheduled to mobilize 300 cows from Boyolali, Central Java, and 600 cattle from Sumbawa breeders, West Nusa Tenggara.
Arief said that his party would utilize the land for the state-owned cattle sheds such as Pupuk Kujang Cikampek (PKC), Jati Tujuh cattle pens PG Rajawali II, Sidrap Sulawesi managed by PT Berdikari to mobilize cattle from regional breeder centers and then distribute them to market traders.
