ID Food Claims to Have Distributed 27 Million Liters of Cooking Oil to the People’s Market

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta -PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (Persero) or Food SOE Holding ID Food claims to have distributed 27 million liters cooking oil to the people’s market.

President Director of PT RNI (Persero) Frans Marganda Tambunan said that until April 17, 2022, ID Food has distributed cooking oil throughout Indonesia as much as 27.29 million liters consisting of 23.18 million liters of bulk cooking oil, 4.07 million liters of packaged cooking oil, 34,660 liters of jerrycan cooking oil.

“We are trying to evenly distribute cooking oil from Sumatra to Papua to meet the needs of the community,” Frans said in a written statement in Jakarta, Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

The distribution of cooking oil in Sumatra has reached 3.52 million liters of bulk oil and 17,844 liters of packaged oil. The supply of cooking oil to Aceh was recorded at 1.28 million liters of bulk and 63,732 liters of packaged cooking oil.

Supply to Lampung ID Food has distributed 3.46 million liters bulk cooking oil and 754,505 liters of packaged cooking oil. The distribution of cooking oil to Riau and Jambi realized 907,349 liters of bulk cooking oil, as well as Bengkulu distributed 57,569 liters of bulk cooking oil.

In the areas of Jakarta, Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara, Frans further detailed that ID Food has distributed in Banten 724,030 liters of bulk cooking oil, 4,700 liters of jerrycan oil, and 517,226 liters of packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the supply of cooking oil in the DKI Jakarta area was recorded at 1.95 million liters of bulk, 9,600 jerry cans of cooking oil, and 614,459 liters of packaged cooking oil.

The supply of cooking oil in the Java region, continued Frans, has been distributed as much as 8.99 million liters of bulk cooking oil, 1.74 million liters of packaged oil, and 20,360 liters of jerrycan oil. Meanwhile in Bali, 156.444 liters of bulk oil and 24,240 liters of packaged oil were distributed. In Nusa Tenggara 37,176 liters of packaged cooking oil were allocated.

Frans added that ID Food also distributed supplies of cooking oil to Kalimantan as much as 1.17 million liters of bulk oil and 56,064 liters of packaged oil. Meanwhile, to Sulawesi there were 793,640 liters of bulk oil and 162,712 liters of packaged oil. Specifically for the Papua region, 54,000 liters of packaged oil were distributed.

“ID Food collaborates with the Ministry of Trade, the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, the Ministry of Industry, the National Food Agency, Pasar Jaya, the All-Indonesian Market Traders Association (APPSI) and other stakeholders in distributing cooking oil,” said Frans.

Although the price of cooking oil still varies at retail, Frans assesses that the price of cooking oil still influences global commodity prices.
