The winter temperatures also have the canton of Bern under control. It was correspondingly slippery on the roads. A total of 39 traffic accidents occurred between late Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning.
People were slightly injured in four accidents, as a spokeswoman for the Bern cantonal police said on Wednesday when asked.
SRF Meteo had issued weather warnings due to slippery conditions for parts of the canton of Bern. Temperatures are expected to remain widely below freezing until Saturday.
