“At 14.30 WIB the Anti-Corruption Civil Society Coalition represented by ICW will visit the National Police Headquarters to deliver a letter to the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, regarding the request for withdrawal or dismissal of Commissioner General Firli Bahuri as a member of the Police,” said ICW researcher Kurnia Ramadhana. , Tuesday (24/5).

Kurnia said that during his time as KPK leader, Firli often created controversy. As for a number of these actions, such as the forced return of investigator Kompol Rossa Purbo Bekti, committed acts of violating ethics, and played a role in deactivating 75 KPK employees who did not pass the national insight test (TWK).

“For this reason, we urge the National Police Chief to withdraw Firli Bahuri as KPK chairman, or even dismiss him as an active member of the National Police,” said Kurnia.

Firli, along with other KPK leaders, previously reported 75 anti-graft agency employees who were disabled to a number of agencies related to the implementation of TWK, such as the KPK Supervisory Board, the Indonesian Ombudsman, and the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM).
