The Coordinator of the Department for Public Assistance, Sigit Wijaya, explained that the sale of the T-shirts was to oppose the Kaesang movement which was considered to suppress public criticism.
“Kaesang’s actions seemed to mock the public criticism, and he appeared to be “arrogant” by wearing a vest saying “Putra Mulyono” to counter criticism public,” Sigit told him CNNDonesia.comFriday (27/9).
Sigit emphasized that the sale of t-shirts is also a reminder that Jokowi, through his various policies, has made people miserable.
He touched on several legislative products under Jokowi’s leadership that worsened Indonesia’s economic and democratic situation.
“Indonesia must face the consequences. Corruption Eradication Commission Law, Labor Law, Mining and Coal Law, and efforts to review various laws,” he said.
“He even gives the impression of “taking advantage” of various decisions to benefit his colleagues. Like consent in efforts to undermine our democratic order,” he continued.
In addition, Sigit stressed that the proceeds from the sale of the t-shirts were not made entirely to seek personal or organizational gain.
Sigit said all proceeds from the sale of the t-shirts would be used to run the ICW program that promotes public participation in Indonesia’s democracy.
