iCloud: a failure of several Apple services at the beginning of the week

New outage of iCloud services at Apple, after the week has just started. However, this concerns seven different services which, according to apple, have problems.

In detail, the services experiencing an outage are iCloud Calendar, iCloud Contacts, iCloud Drive, iCloud Mail, Photos, iCloud Bookmarks and Tabs, and iCloud Keychain. There are several error messages according to Apple:

  • Recent changes may not update on all devices.
  • Intermittent problems can occur on this service.
  • This service may be slow or unavailable.

This is the second outage of iCloud services in the space of a few days. The previous one goes back to last Thursday. But for once, it was related to Akamai, a service provider used by many sites around the world. An issue with its Edge DNS service caused a giant outage, and Apple was one of the companies affected. Today, it is an Apple-specific outage, suggesting that the group has made a change to its servers and everything did not go as planned.

There is nothing you can do in particular except to be patient. According to Apple, the outage of the day started at 1:37 p.m. She’s still here at the time of this posting.
