Icing and snow make driving conditions difficult in many places

Difficult driving conditions are also present on the Dimzukalns-Grenctāle section of the Bauska highway, the Olaine-Meitene section of the Jelgava highway, the Kalnciems-Apsupes intersection on the Liepāja highway section and the Usma-Ventspils section of the Ventspils highway.

Driving conditions are also difficult on the Riga-Izvalda section of the Daugavpils highway, on the Rēzekne highway along the entire route, on the Grebņeva-Medumu highway and on the Daugavpils and Rēzekne bypass roads.

Driving on regional roads is difficult in the vicinity of Aizkraukle, Balva, Bauska, Cēsu, Jelgava, Jēkabpils, Limbažu, Ludza, Madona, Ogre, Ogre, Preiļu, Riga, Valmiera and Ventspils.

The weight restrictions introduced during the thawing period on gravel roads in Kurzeme and the southern part of the country also remain in place. Vehicle weight restrictions have been introduced on 43 sections of gravel roads.
