The government representative left hints about the absence of Costas Karamanlis and Antonis Samaras from the blue street party in Rigillis, to mark the 50th anniversary of the founding of the New Democracy.
Specifically, in a related question, Pavlos Marinakis said that at the event “it was the whole of New Democracy” and that the event was for the “anonymous members” of the ruling party.
In fact, he repeated Maximos’ line about an “open party”, saying that the ND is not “afraid to keep up with its times”, without changing its character.
Also, the government spokesman said that “the participation of the people was impressive and the prime minister’s speech was unifying”, while adding that the element of adaptation is what makes the blue faction the most resistant of the post-colonialism.
It is recalled that after the announcement that two former prime ministers and former presidents of New Democracy would not go to the event in Rigillis, Kyriakos Mitsotakis had spoken of “some people who want a phobic and complex faction”, while he emphasized that the ND does not look “even to the left , not even to the right, but only in front.”
