Godfather of the association, the singer of Dionysos Mathias Malzieu took part, for one stage, in the solidarity adventure of the Mobydick Mobylette Club, which ended on May 22 at Forest-Landerneau. After a journey of a thousand kilometers by moped between Drôme, where the members of the group are from, and Finistère, where one of them lives, in order to raise funds against multiple sclerosis.
Today, the association’s four childhood friends, all in their thirties, dream of another project with the artist, as the latter revealed to us on the occasion of his rock group’s visit on Saturday. , at Feast of noise in Landerneau. And that we detailed in the broad outline Tristan Martinez, treasurer of the Mobylette MC, and Forestois since 2018: to cross Iceland in electric fat bike next year, always for the same cause.
On the stage of La Palud
During Dionysos ‘concert in the Palud gardens, where Tristan was one of the festival-goers, Mathias Malzieu spoke of his friends’ road trip last spring, calling on the public to applaud them. “It was cool and quite moving,” says Tristan, touched by this attention. There was a big atmosphere, they really set fire to it. The two then exchanged, for an hour, before the artist leaves, speaking in particular about the new project which is close to their hearts.
If the adventure is not quite stopped yet, the four members of Mobydick MC, Mathias Malzieu and actor Nicolas Ullmann, would cross Iceland on an electric fat bike (bicycle with large wheels that “allows you to go anywhere”) “From south to north, passing through the lands of the center. This journey of about 500 km should last between ten and fifteen days. It would end on the Icelandic island of Grimsey (crossed by the Arctic Circle) in August or September 2022 ”.
A period chosen for the “road trip” because “we want to see the Northern Lights and watch a movie, every evening, under the stars”, underlines Tristan.
“Great fans of adventure”
As for the fat bike, “we wanted a more eco-responsible means of transport than the moped, especially in Iceland, a virgin and wild land”. Not to mention “the notion of taking the time to observe the landscape, to meet people and to feel the elements”.
“We are great fans of adventure” within the association (which also has in its ranks Jérémy Roche, Samuel Ajamian and Yohan Martinez) “, adds the Forestois. “We all wait to experience strong emotions. Iceland is a country of dreams ”and beyond the crossing,“ we want to raise even more awareness about multiple sclerosis to raise funds ”.
