Grubauer, 30, has 269 games in the NHL for Washington, Colorado and Seattle, with an average of 2.51 goals per game, a success rate of 91.4 percent and a 20-net account. In the playoffs, he has an average of 2.50, a success rate of 91.3 and two zeros in 33 duels. He will represent Germany for the fourth time at the World Cup and in 2016 he was a member of the European Selection at the World Cup in Toronto, which reached the final.

The nine-year-old Seider, who Detroit chose as the sixth draft pick in 2019, has had his NHL debut season. He scored 82 matches 50 points (7 + 43). Ottawa chose Stützle as the triple last year and has 132 games and 87 points (34 + 53) in two NHL seasons.

In preparation, the Germans played after two matches in Chomutov with the Czech national team (2: 6 and 2: 0), in Rosenheim with Switzerland (4: 2 and 1: 6), in Dresden with Slovakia (1: 3 and 2: 3) and in Schwenningen with Austria (3: 1). He will enter the championship on Friday at 19:20 CEST against Canada, in the following days in the basic group A in Helsinki he will face Slovakia, France, Denmark, Italy, Kazakhstan and Switzerland.
