The Germans managed the start of the match, in which the decision of the last progressors was decided better, and in the 4th minute they took the lead. Seider extended Peterka on the left wing and he pointed from the left circle to the upper right corner of Kalnin’s goal. Shortly after that, both teams had another chance, at first Eisenschmid did not hit the goal from the finish and then Batna took advantage of M. Müller’s mistake in the pass, but Ri. Bukarts hit only Niederberger. In the 7th minute, the Germans hit again, Pföderl passed to Noebels from behind the goal and he hit between Kalinš’s concrete. From the middle of the third, the Latvians took over the baton, they closed the opponent in the defensive zone for a long time, but the Germans perfectly blocked their shots.

The home team then played two power games, but did not use them in the same way as the Germans used one. Latvia struck in the 26th minute, renumbering 3 to 1 turned into an Abols goal – 1: 2. In the 30th minute, the home team were close to equalizing, but they did not even reach the puck net three times after Jaks’ throw. They didn’t take their next chances in the 2nd period, in which they shot the opponent 9: 5. At the beginning of the third act, Abols had another option, but Niederberger set off his attempt.

The home team were able to balance in the power play, which they played from the 49th minute, but the Germans did not allow them to move properly into the offensive zone. The Latvians did not take advantage of the fourth numerical advantage, they did not prevail even in the hectic end, when they recalled the goalkeeper and did not advance to the quarterfinals in the home tournament.
