Nevertheless, he found understanding for his charges and praised the team’s efforts to recover at the beginning of the match. At the same time, he admitted that in some situations he himself had no idea what was happening on the ice. One such moment was the expulsion of Mislav Rosandič. He evaluated the beginning of the catastrophic match Ramsay positively, the boys did not forget to praise. However, what followed in the second period was disappointing, the players made mistakes that did not go unpunished.
“The first third was very good. Despite the five-minute weakening, we were able to create a chance. We played with heart and determination. The boys really tried, they weren’t scared, they were active. We got that goal after an unfortunate rebound from a broken hockey stick. We went to the second period awakened. The second goal was cheap, we stood in defense, we gave them too much time, they were not under pressure. We can’t play like this.
We need to be more active and faster. We can’t keep playing weak, that’s not possible. We have four matches behind us. We played individually, we kept the puck for a long time. The Swiss were too fast, taking advantage of our mistakes. Then we tried too hard and that usually ends in a problem. ”

In the match, the goalkeeper was particularly troubled Július Hudáček, which seemed more resigned with each goal. Nevertheless, the coach did not give a chance to the prepared substitute Adam Húsk. “I probably should. It wasn’t Hudáček’s goals, no one blames him. I thought about too many things, unfortunately I didn’t get to this. We dealt with injured players… It would be nice if Húska got a chance too. We could talk to the goalkeepers before the third period, we should have replaced them. ”
Two penalties until the end of the match significantly complicated the duel for the Slovaks and deprived them of the necessary strength. While the exclusion of Kristián Pospíšil was understandable and deserved, the situation regarding Mislav Rosandič was incomprehensible to Ramsay.
“In my opinion, the speedy exclusion was deserved. We don’t like such exclusions, but he hit his head and he was tall. It was the right decision. Regarding Rosandic… I don’t know what happened, something must have happened. But a player like Rosandic would never do something like that, he’s too good. Not only as a player, but also as a human being. It was probably an unfortunate moment. We don’t blame Rosandic for anything. “
He didn’t even show up on the ice in the third period Marek Hrivík. However, the reason was not exclusion or injury, just the caution of the coach. “Marek Hrivík played for many minutes in the first two thirds. He wasn’t feeling well. We said it was better to let him rest. It was my decision. He wanted to play, he got dressed, he was ready. I am still looking to the future. I didn’t want him to get hurt, I explained it to him. “
