Timo Meier particularly stood out with the San Jose Sharks on Thursday evening. He was the great architect of his team’s recovery which, led 0-2 after five minutes by Gaëtan Haas’ Edmonton Oilers, ended up winning 6-3.
The Appenzell striker reduced the score in the 11th minute (1-2), then scored the fifth goal in the third third (5-2), before offering the Sharks’ sixth and last goal to Kevin Labanc. Three points in the same match: strong!

Kevin Fiala also stood out. The St. Welshman, two days after his double against Chicago, still scored two points. He was credited with an assist on Minnesota’s first goal, before scoring 3-0 in power play, still in the first third. The Minnesota Wild won 4-2 against the Vancouver Canucks.
Roman Josi also scored two points. The Nashville Predators defender signed two assists in the Preds’ 3-2 victory over the ice of the Calgary Flames, including Mikael Granlund’s “game-winning goal”. Roman Josi now has 51 points (14 goals and 37 assists) in 52 games this season. Yannick Weber was aligned for 10’19 ” in the defense of Nashville.
Other Swiss won victory on Thursday evening. This is the case of Luca Sbisa (4-2 with the Winnipeg Jets against the St. Louis Blues), Nino Niederreiter (5-3 with the Carolina Hurricanes on the ice of the Arizona Coyotes) and Mirco Müller, who has in addition signed an assist for the New Jersey Devils still deprived of Nico Hischier (5-0 victory in Philadelphia against the Flyers). On the other hand, Denis Malgin and the Florida Panthers conceded a bitter setback at home (2-7 against the Vegas Golden Knights).
