The Swiss sparkled Saturday night in the NHL. Three of them have indeed obtained the first star of the game. They are Nico Hischier (New Jersey Devils / 2 goals and 2 assists), Kevin Fiala (Los Angeles Kings / 2 goals) and Roman Josi (Nasshville Predators / 1 goal and 2 assists).

Hischier pulled out all the stops in Pittsburgh. After offering 1-1 to Dawson Mercer in the 5th minute, then 2-1 to Dougie Hamilton in the 24th, he scored 3-1 (29th), then 5-2 (58th). The Devils won 5-2 on the Penguins ice.

By the way, Hischier scored the hundredth goal of his NHL career. This season he has 23 goals and 28 assists (51 points) in 54 games played.

Kevin Fiala was not left out. He opened the scoring for the Kings in the 8th minute, then scored a goal that was thought to be decisive (5-1 in the 16th). But the Los Angeles franchise has found a way to get back to 5-5! The Kings ended up going over the shoulder on penalties against the Arizona Coyotes, for whom JJ Moser delivered an assist (on Travis Boyd’s 4-5 in the 48th). Fiala is this season at 61 points (21 goals / 40 assists) in 57 matches.

Roman Josi also exploded the counters. He actually single-handedly turned the game in favor of the Nashville Predators. He offered the 3-2 to Ryan Johansen in the 16th minute, then the 4-2 to Colton Sissons in the 28th, before registering the 5-2 in the 37th. The “Preds”, for whom Nino Niederreiter skated for 17’25” (-1), won 7-3 at home against the Florida Panthers

Finally, Pius Suter also entered the counter list. He tied it at 1-1 in the 20th minute for his Detroit Red Wings, who ended up losing 2-4 at the Seattle Kraken.
