This does not affect the Bietigheim Steelers, as all players and the staff are fully vaccinated. A big problem is the tight schedule with 60 match days. In February, the DEL will take a three-week break due to the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing, and games will also be interrupted from November 8th to 18th due to the Germany Cup (November 11th to 14th). If further games are canceled, which can then no longer be played, the quotient rule should apply at the end of the main round, which then decides on the placements.
