It was 2-0 in the fifth and decisive SC final match and goalkeeper Linus Söderström had to keep his third clean sheet in the playoffs. He landed a total of 94.4 in save percentage and received the award “Stefan Liv Memorial Trophy” which is given to the MVP of the playoffs.
A nice revenge for Söderström after the bitter final loss against Växjö a year ago.
– I’m not going to lie, it means a lot. We lost the final last year and it’s no secret that I codged the goalkeeping match against Emil Larmi (Växjö’s goalie) a bit too much. Standing here as Swedish champion and winning this award is like having a thorn removed from the body, he tells SVT Sport.
