The Krefeld Penguins have won their second win of the season in the PENNY German Ice Hockey League (DEL). The bottom of the table in the northern group won the derby at Düsseldorfer EG 3: 1 (0: 1, 0: 0, 3: 0) and has six points after eleven games this season.
Four days after the signing of the new coach Clark Donatelli, who will probably only join KEV at the end of the week, Martin Schymainski (43rd), Kristofers Bindulis (58th) and Brett Olson (59th) scored the guests’ goals. Jerome Flaake (1st) scored early for DEG.
As in the previous game at the Kölner Haien (0: 7), interim coach Boris Blank was behind the Krefeld gang. The penguins spoiled DEG’s chance of jumping into second place.
Augsburg clearly loses in Schwenningen
In the south, the Schwenninger Wild Wings beat the Augsburg Panthers 4: 0 (0: 0, 2: 0, 2: 0) and consolidated fourth place. Augsburg (5th) missed the chance to overtake the opponent. Emil Kristensen (25th), Jamison MacQueen (35th), Marius Möchel (46th) and Tyson Spink (53rd) were successful.
