In the 1: 5 (1: 1, 0: 1, 0: 3) against the Boston Bruins, the eleven-time Stanley Cup winner broke in on Sunday (02.01.2022 / local time) in the final third and fell behind the direct neighbors in the table Atlantic Division back to fifth place.
Tyler Bertuzzi had given Detroit the lead in front of a home crowd before Patrice Bergeron, Erik Haula, Charlie McAvoy, Trent Frederic and Tomas Nosek turned the game. Seider stood on the ice for almost 23 minutes, but remained without any significant scenes.

The Pittsburgh Penguins continued their series even after their almost two-week corona break.
