Ice hockey – Mannheim – ice hockey national striker Plachta with corona infection – sport

Mannheim (dpa) – Ice hockey national player Matthias Plachta has been infected with the corona virus. The Adler Mannheim announced this on the Sunday before the game against the Nürnberg Ice Tigers. The 30-year-old had tested positive in a routine test on Saturday and is in quarantine.

National coach Toni Söderholm has not nominated the striker for the Germany Cup with the German national team from November 11th to 14th in Krefeld. Plachta should normally be seeded for participation in the Beijing Olympics in February.
