Ice hockey (Magnus): Rézard, Cyr and Neyens extend to Anglet Hormadi

Arrived a year ago at the head of the Magnus team from Dunkirk (D1), Pierrick Rézard satisfied his leaders, in particular his working methods and the link made with the amateur sector. “When the club chose to bring in Pierrick, it was to build a real club project with a strong link with the AHA (Anglet Hormadi Amateur). Construction has turned somewhat into a transition given the events at the start of the season,” recalls the president.

As for sports manager Xavier Daramy, there is also satisfaction: “I am satisfied with Pierrick’s work and involvement. We have received very positive feedback on our system and our philosophy of play. Sectors will be worked on in the off-season. We are aware of the work to be done to play at this level. The road is long to satisfy an audience, supporters and partners, who, despite the results, are more than present. »

The JFLs, the big project

The Basque “board” has therefore opted for stability behind the bench, so that the “process”, as they call it, takes the lead and that Hormadi finally passes a course in the elite. “We must work with the current leaders to implement the actions, at each level of the rocket, in order to pass a course, in a sustainable and constant way. It is construction work with a training, sporting and financial vision. It is a complete process which is initiated today”, explains Xavier Daramy.

“This is one of our biggest challenges this off-season,” proclaims Xavier Daramy. The JFL (locally trained player) will be the cornerstone of the future face of the workforce. Possessing an aging core, Anglet must, there too, turn a corner: “Pierrick and I have the same vision on our core, confirms Daramy. Saying that he is aging should not be perceived negatively, but we must be aware of it. The club has some great guys with Decock, Arrossamena, Tarantino, Pons… I find their involvement quite good. But it is quite normal to think of recruiting players to take over, and ensure a sporting follow-up of JFL. Something that we have already started and that we will try to accentuate during this off-season, ”concludes the 41-year-old manager.
