Sports manager Henrik Evertsson is one. Assistant woodworker Fredrik Hellgren is the other. The two have been constants during Växjö Laker’s heyday.
Before the semifinal series against Rögle, they are praised by the current successful coach Jörgen Jönsson.
– They are a couple that cannot be separated, perhaps, he says and continues:
– The greatness of Fredrik’s leadership is his level of ambition. He always wants to do the right thing for himself and give the best he can to the players. He has no need to stand at the front and shout the loudest, but he is driven and eager for the next thing.
A description that Hellgren recognises.
– You have to be curious. Don’t think ‘I can do this’ and settle down. There are new challenges all the time and you have to be curious about them.
